SHELTER
The mission of Rainbow Place Shelter is to provide a safe haven for youth (18-24 years of age) experiencing homelessness in Montgomery County, Maryland, inclusive of LGBTQ+, heterosexual, and cisgender individuals. Rainbow will provide year-round, 24-hour emergency shelter and support, offering a comprehensive set of services to facilitate their transition out of homelessness.

Rainbow envisions a community hub of organizations dedicated to serving youth experiencing homelessness in an inclusive environment. We see universal access to compassionate and comprehensive support resources as foundational to delivering
housing, mental health, recovery and care management services. Beneficiaries of these services are advocates for those with shared experiences.
